Today, the water was flat and crystal clear, super cold water too! Went snorkeling at Point of rocks on south siesta key beach and found all this trash! Found while snorkeling anywhere between 2-15 ft deep. Found this beach/ lawn chair about 6-7 ft deep and had a struggle dragging it into shore but was able to remove it out of the gulf and throw it away! Also found a ton of cans, plastic water bottles, fishing line, pipe, glass bottles and glass shards and all types of other trash!! I’m not only taking care of the beaches but also the gulf waters in Sarasota as well!
I hope to get out to Siesta Key beach, Lido, Turtle or another local beach on a daily basis; doing everything I can to both clean up trash and dispose of it properly along with bringing awareness to people to not litter. if you see me come and say what’s up!

Our mission as the Florida Beach Guardians is to protect, preserve and maintain our beaches natural beauty, cleanliness and overall well being. Protecting our beaches from garbage pollution protects both the environment and wildlife as well as it protects those who call Sarasota home along with the hundreds of thousands of tourists we get on a yearly basis.
We are originally from a suburb of Chicago (Oswego, IL) and have both recently started calling Sarasota home as of the last couple of years. Me and my dad are both BIG time beach goers and thoroughly LOVE our Sarasota beaches in a big way. Every time we come to the beach, we both see an insane amount of trash left or littered on our beaches and we are here as the Florida Beach Guardians to put an end to garbage polution on our Florida beaches.
Me and my dad want to instantly put an end to trash being left on our beaches, bring relief to our beaches and to the local wildlife for years to come and to ultimately bring awareness to people who visit our beaches and for those who regularly go to the beach to NOT litter, to clean up after themselves and to clean up trash they see whether it Is their trash or someone else’s.
